Saturday, February 13th, 2010

It has now been 44 years since England last won the World Cup or any other major tournament. Could they end this long and disappointing run by winning the trophy at this year’s World Cup in South Africa?  There are many passionate England fans who hope they can, for most they haven’t seen England win anything, therefore to win the greatest football prize on earth would be a dream come true.  With plenty of world cup packages on offer, you will get the chance to be right in front of the action at one of the spectacular new stadiums in South Africa.

England are guaranteed to play against the USA at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg, Algeria at the Green Point Stadium in Cape Town and Slovenia at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Port Elizabeth.  The Green Point Stadium in Cape Town, in particular, is a completely new 70,000 seater, all weather and all purpose stadium. Its location couldn’t be more perfect, it is situated between Signal Hill and the Atlantic Ocean, and very close to the city centre and the Victoria & Alfred waterfront.England will be hoping to win Group C and qualify for the knockout stages. If they finish top of Group C they will play the runner up in Group D or if they finish second they will play the winner of Group D. Group D is made up of Germany, Australia, Serbia and Ghana. Therefore it is likely that England will face Australia back at the in Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg.

With the likes of Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard, Terry and Beckham, the England squad is as good as it has ever been. They also have a very successful manager in charge of this campaign, Fabio Capello. Fabio has won a number of major tournaments during his amazing football career. These include the Eufa Champions League and the Serie A title on a number of occasions for both Milan and Juventus. The England football fans world cup packages on offer can be great way to get to see these amazing players on display at the World Cup. If England are to win it, they will need to ensure their key players stay injury and suspension free both before and during the tournament. Whatever happens it is set to be a truly exciting tournament for everyone involved. This could definitely be the year they win it.
