			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Lots of people watch a game of soccer and have no idea the number of hours go into practicing the various <a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerskillsblog.com/soccer-skills/mastering-soccer-skills-with-the-help-of-your-coach">soccer skills</a> needed to play the overall game.  To become a decent player, you will spend considerable time doing boring <a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerskillsblog.com/soccer-skills/the-importance-of-practicing-soccer-skills">coaching drills</a>.  Fundamental essentials foundation of soccer; they enable you to get a body used to doing certain moves without having to consider it.</p>
<p> Running down an area while keeping control of a ball is not as easy since it looks.  Consider that there will be a number of other people looking to get that ball away from you and it is even harder.  Whenever you join a team you will learn how to move with a ball, how you can keep it from another team, how you can pass it, and you&#8217;ll learn to do this while running as quickly as you are able to.  If you&#8217;re able to have a minimum of a part of what you need to do almost automatic, you&#8217;ll be able to concentrate on other activities.  The drills will help you with this.</p>
<p> While at practice you have to be careful about your team mates too.  Find out how they move, listen when the coach lets you know about individual weaknesses and strengths.  Soccer is a team sport, and you all need to know how to play with one another.  Don&#8217;t think of the hour you spent passing the ball around the field as a chore or punishment, instead pay attention.  When it comes game time you will need to know things like number 3 is excellent when the ball is due him on the right, but misses a great deal if coming on the left.</p>
<p> You should be sure you go to all of your practices.  Yes, this will mean giving up a number of your free time.  Practice might not be as entertaining as a game, but if you do not go you will not have the ability to play.  Your coach, or even the organization itself, may have rules on attending practices to become eligible to play.  More to the point though, if you do not visit practices you will not have the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerskillsblog.com/soccer-skills/soccer-skills-the-keys-to-success">soccer fitness</a> to play.  You&#8217;re not good to the team if you get fatigued in the middle of the game.  Make sure to remain up and moving, during half time you might want to spend a few minutes re-warming up prior to going out to experience.</p>
<p> Soccer may not be a complete contact sport, but there is a lot of endurance needed, and lots of skill.  If you intent to playing the overall game, take time to learn the basic soccer skills and intend on practicing a lot!</p>

<p> Arms: The arm plays a vital part in soccer to help maintain balance while you jump to head a ball or when you suddenly change directions. A powerful jump is made by throwing the arms in the air.</p>
<p> Plyometric: For excellent result you should use both weight training with carefully planned plyometric program. This will create individual or teams who will show growth during the first half of the season.</p>
<p> The key again is going back to the core, because only a well-developed soccer fitness program to develop the core will naturally bring these areas into focus.</p>
<p> Programs: Generally, a program that is quantifiable and specific to an individual needs to be applied at the beginning of the season. Concentrating on specific areas of the body starting with the core and searing outwards to each section of the body is vital to the total development of an individual.</p>

<p> Therefore strength endurance should be given importance to in your soccer training programs. However if you don’t alter your training programs and continue with 3 sets of 8-12 reps each, your training programs will not reap much of productive results.</p>

<p> During soccer weight training the aim is to improve the strength, speed and stamina of the muscles instead of just increasing the muscle weight. Though the importance of upper body weight training for soccer is not as much as the legs, we still go on with it for general conditioning and strength.</p>
<p> I think fitness training should start with the legs. It should be started with the crouching exercises first. After a light warm-up set, load the bar to a weight you think your players can get 20 reps with. Let&#8217;s say they are pretty strong, so tell them to begin with 220 pounds. They have to get under the bar, with it resting across their upper back, and stand up with it.</p>
<p> Instruct them to step back out of the racks and stand with their feet, shoulder width apart or wider. After that they must lower their body while holding on to the bar till their hips are a little bit below the top of their knee. When they reach this level in weight training soccer, they should stand up quickly and exhale. Tell them to continue this practice for at least 20 reps even when they are completely exhausted.</p>

<p> Next is working on hamstrings, but before that have a 5-10 minutes break. 4 sets of 15 reps each should be completed by them. During each set of Leg Curls, Stiff-Legged Dead lift should be performed with 4 sets of 15 reps. Hamstrings are vital for players speed, thus we would want them to be strong enough.</p>
<p> Finish the leg workouts on Standing calf-raise machine and doing 3 sets of 25 reps</p>
<p> The Incline bench press would be used to start the upper body exercises.<br /> After a warm up exercise, guide players to add enough weight so that the next set of 10 reps gets difficult. They should continue with that weight for 5 sets of 10 repetitions total, while stretching their chest and shoulders, and resting for around 2 minutes between each set.</p>
<p> The second exercise for this portion of the soccer strength training is pull-ups. This exercise should be done with the palms facing their body so that their biceps and back can become strong. The final part of the upper body work out involves working on abdominals and doing 5 sets of 20 or more reps of leg raises. The final exercise is sit-ups, complete 5 sets of 50 or more.</p>

<p>Tell me the last time you explained to your team various soccer formations by using a <a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerdrillstips.com/soccer_field_diagram.html">soccer field diagram</a>? If you said “never” or “long time back”, it’s clear that your team is not completely aware of what formations and positions are.</p>
<p> A majority of coaches believe that by just giving oral instructions to the kids, they’ll know everything and this is where they go wrong. The players must take part in the dialogue about formations on the field as they are an important matter.</p>
<p> These illustrate the soccer positions of the players in each part from the defensive line and as such are the planned choices made usually in the form of numbers. The formations need not be stringent and the coach must continue to alternate the players in a game. Another thing worth mentioning is that these formations should be finalized keeping in view the individual strengths and weaknesses of the players.</p>
<p> Following are some of the common formations used in soccer:</p>
<p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerdrillstips.com/formations">Soccer Formations</a></p>
<p> 4-4-2: This is the most commonly used. It derives its number sequence from the fact that there are four defenders, four midfielders and two attackers, not including the goalkeeper.</p>
<p> It is the midfielders who play the most important part by way of supporting the forward players through defense. At the time of attack, they should move towards the goal line to support the defenders.</p>
<p> 4-5-1: This formation has five mid fielders and one forward player and is a defensive formation. The best thing that it does is that it disallows the opponent players to attack because the midfielders are all stacked up in the center.</p>
<p> And because there is only 1 forward, it allows the midfielders to move forward thereby leaving the opposition high and dry.</p>
<p> 3-5-2: This formation has three defenders, five midfielders, and two forwards. This formation allows both attack as well as defense when 2 wingmen take up the attacking role and the center midfielder disallows for any counter attacks.</p>
<p> 3-4-3: The most forceful form of formation on the soccer field diagram that is brought into play when the opposition is defensive. Benefitting from three defenders, four midfielders and three forwards, the approach is to attack using the forwards and use the defenders if the opposition tears the defensive line.</p>
<p> There is no particular strategy that can be employed for the entire match. It must change with the dynamics and situations of the game. So a coach must think quickly and keep rotating the players throughout. And then, a formation can be either offensive or defensive.</p>
<p> Great soccer tactics for formations play an important role in deciding whether the team wins or loses. As the game becomes more action oriented, it should bring about more changes in the soccer formation plans.</p>

<p>It’s a known fact that a <a target="_blank" href="http://www.soccerdrillstips.com/soccer_conditioning.html">soccer conditioning</a> program provides a strong base for a team’s success. The result of following soccer exercises is strength, agility, and endurance which permit them to be called fit for the game, let alone winning it.</p>
<p> Nonetheless, you or your team may have to deal with the lack of time to practice prior to a competition. It does not mean that you must cut down on conditioning exercises. You don’t wish to see your players getting hurt prior to the match or at some point in the game.</p>
<p> A well planned soccer fitness training course has the capacity to fully train the players even in less that 3 days time. It only needs some good quality planning, and sincerity in its execution. Here are some tips that work fine with short but efficient training programs.</p>
<p> Warming up: Instruct the players to start with any of the following; a five minute jog, high knees, jumping, or heel flicks. In the meanwhile, find time to rest to a minute or so. Then tone the muscles up by doing some stretching exercises for 5 minutes. Make it a point that these soccer workouts comprise of all the key muscle groups.</p>

<p>Running: Some coaches make their players do continuous rounds of running. Though it’s absolutely ok, but in my opinion the players should be made to practice only soccer specific running. It means that for about 30 minutes, they do a combination of running, jogging, walking, and sprinting in no set order.</p>
<p> Running like this at different levels helps the players build stamina and exercise control over their body. And they do not feel drained since a walk after the sprint helps balance things out.</p>
<p> Leave the decision making to the individual players about what to do and when. If they wish to do sprints more than light jogging, there is no harm in it. As the stamina of the kids increases, you can increase the duration of the soccer conditioning program slightly.</p>
<p> Stretching: Encourage the players to do it whenever they can; after a training session and after the match. Focus on the entire body but give special attention to hamstrings, groins, quads, calves and lower back. Ensure that the stretching postures are longer than the warm-up sessions. Normally, 20 to 30 seconds is fine.</p>
<p> Make the players rest a day before the match. This will make the muscles build up strength as well as negate the possibility of injuries. Also, this is a great time to talk to the players and giving them a high.</p>
<p> Make them laugh a lot so that they start getting positive.</p>
