Personalized present for a soccer coach’s 65th birthday

Monday, October 26th, 2009

When Ronald Harris, a varsity soccer coach, said goodbye to his seniors at his team’s end of year award ceremony, it also happened to be his 65th birthday. On that meaningful day, he received a personalized 65th birthday gift that was far more memorable than any soccer trophy his players or fellow coaches could ever give him. He received a special CD filled with the voices of his colleagues, his graduating players, and their parents, expressing their thanks and warm wishes. The recordings ranged from funny to sentimental, and demonstrated to him what he had meant to the Cougars.

“I go out there and urge my players to be the best that they can be every day. I’ve always focused on the players, and when they gave me this gift I saw how much my philosophy meant to them personally”.

The players and their parents wanted to give the coach a meaningful present that was very personal. But, with frantic schedules, the players and their parents knew that the group gift would have to be easy for everyone to contribute to.

The Keepsake CD the coach received is called LifeOnRecord.

Team mom, Jenna Gorski, got the idea when her husband gave her a LifeOnRecord CD as a fun birthday gift.

The process is simple: friends and family call a toll-free number and are directed to record a favorite memory, story or wish. There’s no limit on the number of callers that can phone-in or on the total number of recordings you receive. You can download the recordings for free to your computer using iTunes so that you can make your own CD, or LifeOnRecord can create a keepsake CD with a personalized label and metal case. An unlimited plan with free download capability into iTunes costs $49.99, or an unlimited plan with a keepsake CD costs $74.98.

It is a unique, affordable service that allows you to create a highly personal gift with ease.

“These young men mean a lot to me, and this is the perfect way for me to remember them and their impact after my coaching days are over. The mom who organized and put this together is my hero”.

If you’d like to be a hero to your loved one, you can purchase LifeOnRecord and give them a meaningful birthday group present.

We?ve put together some suggestions you can use to achieve this:

Make Them Feel That The Coach Cares About Them

Another important aspect that you must be aware of is that your players are people like you, so they have individual interests and problems. Make sure you know what they are so you can help them solve their problems, and achieve their goals. By doing that you’ll feel that you’re players know that you care about them, and so they will retrieve with more effort in pleasing you. The most successful coaches know how important it is to get into the player’s minds and make part of their worlds.

You can request older players to give suggestions and ideas to help new kids to feel integrated. Always keep track of the activities that you agreed to implement and get the creator of the idea involved. For example, if you travel during matches you can shuffle roommates to ensure that they get to know new teammates better. You can also promote group debate sessions where you can talk about how things are going and discuss the problems.

Easy Ways To Organize Group Team Meetings

Set up a group meeting every week before a coaching session for example and go from there. You can get the new members to join up with existing groups, giving them the opportunity to mingle and share their opinions about a specific soccer-related matter. This is also a good way to avoid existing players to shine while new players feel left apart.

How To Keep Everybody Involved informed This way your message will be clear and there will not be a change for someone to misunderstand it.  Try to assign the tasks in a way that they complement each other.

why not start your own website on Soccer

Monday, October 26th, 2009

If Soccer is your thing then why not build your own website on the topic!

Introducing the World’s FASTEST and EASIEST Custom Website Builder

If you thought that building an Soccer website was difficult then think again!

Now you can create and build a complete custom Soccer website with point and click and drag and drop ease in a matter of Minutes with the NEW 90 second website builder software.

There has never been a better time to get that Soccer online idea up and running, and tell the world all about it.

The software requires no knowledge of html to use. In fact, it is not even an HTML editor, but an HTML generator. You don’t even have to know there is HTML used. Just put images, text and other object on your page and your page is ready! You CAN add any existing HTML to your page using the edit page and object HTML tools.

Other traditional programs use a document (word processor) method for layout, where you can not pick up objects and drag them where you want them to go on the web page. With this new software, you can drag and drop the objects anywhere you want. Giving you total control over the layout. You can even put objects on top (or below) other objects!

Traditional HTML editors use Dynamic Page Layout , which means that the first object on the page will also determine the position of the second object. Resizing or moving the first object will affect the complete layout of the page. You can not overlap objects when using Dynamic Page Layout.

The software generates a Fixed Page Layout. All objects have a fixed position which is not affected by other objects. This also allows you to overlap objects and give you much more control over the layout of the page.

But the software can do much more than this. Just add banners, navigation bars, ready-to-use javascripts and many other things that you can’t do using a regular website editor.

So building your Soccer website could not be easier, go on you know you can do it!

Once you have your website builder software, there is an online resource members area where you can watch step by step videos of how to set up each stage of your first website. We also provide you with some custom made editable templates so you can get started straight away, the members area is full of Internet Marketing advice including  e-books on how to get traffic to your new site and lots more!

Killer Soccer Formations, Tactics & Positions

Youth Soccer Training Tips

When teaching soccer formations and youth soccer drills make sure you test a variety of soccer practice drills to help the kids develop all the skills they need to work on. During these drills you need to observe them closely to assess them.

For example during certain drills, if large teams of players are involved, their heads must be up so that they don?t bump into each other. In these situations, they must also watch out to see that the ball is not being passed back to someone who is already in possession of a ball.

ball control and passing are important skills that your players will develop during training sessions. Player’s brain will make the body work akmost automatically when they are im possession of the ball. The drills help them to perfect this automation. Soccer Positions are also important.

What About Juggling?

Players usually like to perform this technique more than anything else. Everybody likes to juggle a soccer ball.. Here’s a great way to develop the footwork, speed and ability of your players. When your players juggle a soccer ball let them know that you don’t want them to practice just with their feet. Chest, head and thighs must be used too. Durin a soccer game players need to use both feet to be able to perform 100%, so make sure their also practice by using both feet and not just their favorite.

In order to make his juggling productive, the player must concentrate in what he’s doing. If he doesn?t, his touches will go awry. Ball control is always a technique that a player must master. Until the player perfects the technique, some balls will be lost. But he must try get the ball back as fast as possible.

Body posture is critical. So make sure you teach your players how they should position their bodies when performing the drill. Developing the ease at which they handle the ball will take time and effort. Let your players practice without moving a lot. Make them move in one direction after they feel comfortable practicing without moving. You can even make it harder by placing obstacles in the way or by limiting the time.

Motivate your players to train at least 15 minutes every day and they will become good at it very fast. When teaching soccer tactics strategies, the best way to train is of course, actually playing a game on the field after practice with selected youth soccer coaching drills.
