On top of his long eye catching hair Davids was also famous for wearing a pair of dark tinted goggles. Although many people thought this was some kind of weird fashion statement, Edgar Davids in fact wore these to protect his sensitive eyes. He was well-known for his long sometimes dreaded locks of long curly hair.
3. Also a very famous Dutch footballer Ruud Gullit has played for many famous teams such as AC Milan and PSV Eindhoven. A very successful international footballer Ruud Gullit achieved a lot in his footballing career. He was also particularly famous for his short dread lock style of hair.
2. Roberto Baggio was a well-known Italian footballer and at one time was considered amongst the top footballers in the world. Something that never went unnoticed was Baggio’s long curly hair and moustache which had definite influences from France. His unique appearance made him popular not only amongst football fans but also as somewhat of a minor fashion icon.
1. Possibly the best known Columbian footballer of his generation Carlos Valderrama had a truly impressive head of hair. He is the only Columbian to have made it into FIFA’s top 125 footballers who are still alive today list. As captain of the national team Valderrama has played in three world cup campaigns. As we all known Valderrama stood out most for his puffy blonde curly hair styles.
